Gloucestershire Women in Business Awards 2015
8th May 2015
A few weeks ago, I had the absolute delight in being told I was a Finalist for Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2015 in the Gloucestershire Women in Business Awards. To be recognised for all my hard work was really rewarding and I had a massive smile on my face!
On Wednesday 6th May, the awards ceremony took place at the Cheltenham Racecourse. It was a black tie event, so I chose a stunning sequinned dress from Quiz and pearlescent shoes from Nine West. Of course, my handbag was my own – a bespoke Silver Clutch, I put together on my lunch break.
We booked a table of 10, which meant my family and friends could attend and we could all celebrate together. All of us ladies opted for a Harriet Sanders bag to compliment our dresses, and the men had their bespoke wallets.
The venue was beautifully made up, and it was really great to see so many successful and hardworking Women in Business. The evening started with a drinks reception, followed by a delicious three course dinner of salmon, chicken and gnocchi, and chocolate ganache dessert.
In between courses, we had a Magician come to our table and entertain us with some amazing tricks! I still don’t know how he made a deck of cards turn into a glass block in front of our eyes!
We were sure to order a bottle of Champagne ready for the announcement of the winners. Unfortunately, I didn’t win in my category but we still had lots to celebrate.
It was an absolutely fantastic evening, and I am so grateful for being nominated and picked as a finalist.
